Using GOV.UK One Login with Submit cosmetic product notifications (SCPN)
How to sign in to SCPN using GOV.UK One Login and what to do if you have problems.
Before you start
You need a GOV.UK One Login to use this service.
When you select Start now, you’ll be asked to sign in to GOV.UK One Login or create one.
From now on, always use your GOV.UK One Login to sign in to SCPN.
If you already have an SCPN account, use the same email address for GOV.UK One Login. This lets you access your existing account.
What to do if your GOV.UK One Login uses a different email address
If you’re having trouble accessing your account
Your GOV.UK One Login uses a different email address
Your SCPN account and GOV.UK One Login must use the same email address. If they do not match, you’ll create a new SCPN account.
To fix this, do one of the below:
- set up a new GOV.UK One Login using your SCPN email
- change your GOV.UK One Login email address to your SCPN email address
- ask us to update your SCPN email address to match your GOV.UK One Login
If you have already signed in with a different email address, contact us using the enquiries form. You will not be able to sign in until you have spoken to us.
Your SCPN account looks different or empty
If you cannot see your notified products, you may have created a new SCPN account. This happens when your GOV.UK One Login and SCPN account use different email addresses.
Your original SCPN account is safe, but it’s not connected to GOV.UK One Login.
You cannot remember your GOV.UK One Login sign in details or they don’t work
You can change these details in your GOV.UK One Login:
- email address
- password
- how you get security codes to sign in

You’re having problems with security codes
GOV.UK One Login sends the security codes you need to sign in. SCPN no longer sends its own codes.
If you use an authenticator app, make sure you use the code linked to your GOV.UK One Login.
If you’re not getting codes or have lost the device you use to receive them, see the GOV.UK One Login help section:
